Campfire Tales #3: The Longest Night of Your Life is available now! This third entry in the monthly Campfire Tales series for Little Fears Nightmare Edition gives your kids exactly what they want. Just remember, “It’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt.”
Product description:
The kids wake up in a room full of toys and not a single adult in sight. It’s a dream come true with no parents, no school, and no rules–but something’s obviously not right with this room or the children who were already in it. And while some may like to live forever in this toy-filled utopia, the price for their fun may be their lives if the kids can’t figure out the way home soon.
“The Longest Night of Your Life” is the third in the CAMPFIRE TALES series of monthly standalone episodes for use with Little Fears Nightmare Edition.
Just $2 for twenty pages of monster-hunting fun with more to come next month. Enjoy and let me know what you think of the third installment of Campfire Tales!
Hm, not feeling this one as much as the others, and it’s not due to the lack of combat. This story was just so much more railroaded than the others. No coverage for eventualities, alternate paths or guiding the players back on track when it’s critical (which you have been stellar at in 1 and 2). The plot is almost entirely conveyed by the NPCs, with all interaction being one “right” way, unless players don’t want to be trapped in the room until the Keeper takes pity on them and lets you out. And so much to just read aloud! That’s just something I personally don’t do, so is less of a universal critique.
I can appreciate the underlying dark and serious tone and was glad to see it, but “seeing” is pretty much all that happens in this episode, instead of “doing”. That’s just not something my group likes to play, so I’ll think I’ll skip this one. Hopefully it finds its audience elsewhere!

@Jason
I appreciate your feedback. I’m trying to touch on a variety of episode styles with the Campfire Tales series, and I realize every episode won’t appeal to everyone. I hope you enjoy the next one!
Experimentation never hurts!
Just finished reading through episodes 1-3, and I have to say that I am impressed! Each one is just a bit different, so it keeps things interesting to a RPG troupe. Ran through Beggar’s Night and The Fall Harvest with my regular group, and it’s “thumbs-up” all around!
I’ve put together a brief review of the first three episodes on my blog, if anyone is still on the fence.

Thank you for the reviews and the kind words! Glad you’re enjoying the Campfire Tales so far. The next one should be out late this month.
